GSS Highlights the National Champion Dance Team

The University of Minnesota Dance Team are national champions after winning in both the pom and jazz category at nationals in Orlando, Fla., recently. This comes after they won these same two events last year making them the first to sweep the categories and follow-up with a repeat performance.
The Gophers are coached by Amber Jackson who was a member of the Dance Team during her tenure at the University of Minnesota. After graduating from Carlson School of Management with a degree in Marketing Management, 14 years later she continues to coach the team since volunteering her senior year.
Sarah Carney and Kelsey Wabner are the senior captains on the dance team. Gopher Sports Spotlight talked with Carney and Wabner about the team and impressive accomplishments.
