The No. 13 Minnesota women’s swimming & diving team will travel to West Lafayette, Ind., this weekend (Jan. 28-29) to compete in a quad dual meet versus Big Ten opposition. Purdue plays host to the meet, while Wisconsin and Illinois complete the field.

The meet will be scored in dual-meet fashion. Minnesota enters the meet with a 6-1 overall record in dual meets this season; a mark that included early-season victories over Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Action gets underway Friday at 4 p.m. with the diving competitions. Swimming is set for 6 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday. Diving will only be contested Friday.

The Golden Gophers feature a talented squad with 29 swimmers who have notched NCAA qualifying times. In addition, three Gopher relays have clocked NCAA “B” times. All-American Jillian Tyler paces the Gophers having collected an NCAA “A” time and bettering her own school record with a time of 58.22 in the 100-yard breaststroke earlier this season. Defending national 3-meter diving champion Kelci Bryant leads the way for the Gopher diving corps.
