Fall Stats Get Acrobat Reader

The Maroon Team earned an 8-5 win and improved their fall season record to 3-2 in a win over the Gold Team on Friday, Oct. 7 at Siebert Field. Friday's game was also scout day at Siebert Field, while another game is on Saturday, Oct. 8 at noon.

Matt Halloran and Bobby Juan each had two RBI in the win. Juan played right field and designated hitter and had two hits and one run. Halloran had a double and scored a run and had a walk. Andy Henkemeyer hit a double and held an RBI and had two hits and scored a run, while Ryan Abrahamson had a double and walked twice. Jake Bergen had Maroon's other RBI when he went 2-4 and a run scored.

TJ Oakes pitched three innings and was the winning pitcher. Facing a game-high 13 batters, Oakes allowed a run, which was not earned, and four hits. Alex Tukey pitched two innings, facing seven batters and allowed one earned run on one hit. Dustin Klabunde pitched two innings and faced 11 batters, allowing three earned runs. Drew Ghelfi earned the save when he faced seven batters and allowed two runs, neither of which were earned.

The Gold Team was led by David Bettenburg, who went 3-4 with two RBI. Matt Puhl went 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Michael Handel had an RBI when he went 1-5 and a run scored. Kyle Crocker had three at bats and also held an RBI.

Austin Lubinsky faced 12 batters in three innings pitched. He struck out two and walked three, while Kyle O'Shea had three strikeouts facing eight batters. Kevin Kray and Billy Soule also pitched in the game and each allowed two hits.

After Saturday's game, Minnesota will close out the fall season on Oct. 14 at Siebert Field.
