In their final event of the fall season, the Golden Gophers finished one stroke off of their season-best score to par. Minnesota finished 12th at the Alamo Invitational with a team score of 912 (+48). Banchalee Theinthong was the team's highest finisher in a tie for 21st place.

Theinthong posted the team's best third-round score (75) en route to an overall score of 222 (+6). Jackie Shepherd (t-37th) was 4-over on the day, and finished at 226 (+10) for the tournament. Carmen Laguna posted a 77 and finished with her best tournament score of the year at 229 (+13). Sarinee Thitiratanakorn shot an 84. She and Taylor Quinn (81) both finished at 239 for the week. Golfing as an individual in her first college event, Anna Laorr finished at 241, with an 83 on Tuesday.

Host Texas-San Antonio won the event with a score of 866 (+2). The Roadrunners' Fabiola Arriaga captured medalist honors, playing an even-par round today to maintain her score of 3-under.

The Gophers will have the next few months off, resuming competition Feb. 12-14 at the UCF Challenge.
