Maggie Keefer Named Big Ten Co-Diver of the Week

University of Minnesota sophomore Maggie Keefer earned her third Big Ten Diver of the Week honor of the 2011-12 season Tuesday following a strong showing in the women's swimming and diving dual meet at Wisconsin last weekend, the league office announced. She shared the honor this week with Indiana's Laura Ryan.

The award is the fourth for the sophomore in her career as a Gopher.

Keefer posted first-place finishes in both 1 meter and 3 meter diving against the Badgers and tallied NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks with scores of 315.30 and 301.80, respectively. The win for Keefer in 1 meter diving was her fourth-consecutive victory of the season and marked her fourth-straight qualifying time in the event.

The Gopher women are back in action Friday, Nov. 4, when they travel to Iowa City, Iowa, for a Big Ten dual meet vs. Iowa.
