The Pam Borton Radio Show is set to debut Monday night at 7:30 p.m. from the Stadium Village Applebee's on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Hosted by the Golden Gopher women's basketball radio team of Corbu Stathes and Lynnette Sjoquist, the show can be heard live on the Gopher Radio Network.
Borton is in her 10th season at the helm of the women's basketball team at Minnesota in 2011-12. She tallied career-win No. 250 Saturday night as the Gophers defeated Virginia Tech, 65-64, at McKeon Pavilion in Moraga, Calif.
This week's special player guest will be junior Katie Loberg. The team's leading rebounder, the forward was named to the St. Mary's Concord Hilton Tournament All-Tournament Team last weekend after averaging a double-double with 17.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
Over the course of the event, Loberg posted her second-career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Quinnipiac, before matching her career-best with 20 points and seven rebounds in the victory over Virginia Tech.
The Gophers, who are 4-3 on the season following their roadtrip to the Golden State last weekend, continue play on the road Thursday when they take on Wake Forest in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge in Winston-Salem, N.C. Tip off for the contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CT.
Following its contest vs. the Demon Deacons, Minnesota will return home to face No. 1 Baylor Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge at Williams Arena.
