Dabritz Earns Weekly National Award

The College Gymastics Association has released its first National Gymnast of the Week award for 2011-12. University of Minnesota gymnast Russell Dabritz earned the organization's honor for his performance in the Gophers' intrasquad meet last week.
Dabritz tallied scores of 14.4 on the pommel horse, 14.2 on the still rings and 14.8 on the parallel bars in the first Maroon-Gold Intrasquad meet. The Gophers will hold a second intrasquad event Saturday at Cooke Hall. Gopher fans are invited to attend the meet, which is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.
Active collegiate men's gymnastics coaches and CGA Honorary Lifetime members make up the panel which selects the CGA National Gymnasts of the Week.
