Gophers Host Snowshoe Open on Friday

The Minnesota men’s track & field team will host the Snowshoe Open on Friday, Feb.18, at the University Fieldhouse. Action gets underway at 4:30 p.m. with the shot put competition. Action on the track kicks off at 5:15 p.m. with the 3,000-meter run.
The Golden Gophers, currently ranked No. 25 in the nation, will use the meet as a final tune-up for next week’s Big Ten Indoor Championships. Several of Minnesota’s top track performers will skip the Snowshoe Open to prepare of the Conference meet. Most of Minnesota’s top field event performers, however, are entered in the Snowshoe field.
