Sonnenberg Grabs Another Big Ten Honor

Minnesota senior Samantha Sonnenberg earned her second consecutive Big Ten Field Event Athlete of the Week accolade after her performance at the Parents’ Day Open on Saturday. Sonnenberg cleared a season-best height of 13 feet, 11 1/4 inches to win the title in the pole vault. The Gopher All-American owns the top vault in the Big Ten this season and is the top seed heading into this weekend’s Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships at Purdue.
