Gophers in Seventh at Big Ten Championships

The Minnesota women's golf team continued play at the Big Ten Championships in Chicago, Ill. today, completing the second and third rounds of the tournament. Through 54 holes, the Gophers sit in seventh place with a total of 918 after scores of 299 and 312 in rounds two and three respectively. With 18 holes remaining, Minnesota  is 18 back of third Place Wisconsin at Lake Shore Country Club.

Mary Narzisi paces the Gophers thus far, occupying a tied for 12th at 227 after rounds of 75 and 78. Teresa Puga is tied for 16th following a second round 77 and a third round 73 for a total of 228.

Samantha Sommers is in a tie for 24th position after consistent rounds of 75 and 76, while Michele Edlin posted scores of 80 and 76 for 33rd in the standings.

After an 86 and a 78, Jackie Shepherd is tied for 46th and Banchalee Theingthong is in a tied for 55 having carded rounds of 80 and 81.
