Gophers Selected to NCAA Championships

The NCAA announced today that University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team has been selected to the 2011 National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics National Qualifier.

The Gophers will be facing all familiar opponents as they compete in session I of the tournament, which gets underway Thursday, April 14 at Ohio State University. No. 8 Minnesota will be taking on No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 4 Illinois, No. 5 Penn State, No. 9 Air Force and No. 12 UIC.

"We're always elated to be selected to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships," Minnesota head coach Mike Burns said. "We will continue to work hard, as we have all season, to bring our best level of competition to Columbus."
