GopherSports.com will be posting interviews with all the newest Gophers from the 2011 signing class throughout the remainder of the spring. The next profile in the series is a conversation with offensive lineman Foster Bush of Menasha, Wis.

Bush was rated as the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Wisconsin by Rivals.com. He was listed as the No. 124 and No. 174 offensive tackle prospect by Scout.com and ESPN/Scouts Inc., respectively. Bush was a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.

GopherSports.com: Now that the recruiting process is over, has it sunk in that you're officially a Golden Gopher?
Foster Bush: "Yeah definitely. I am excited to get down to campus and work out with the team, start getting to know everybody and start getting worked into the system."

GopherSports.com: What other schools had you been considering as well as Minnesota?
Foster Bush: "Northern Illinois. I was actually committed to play there for Coach Kill."

GopherSports.com: When did you decide that you wanted to play Division I football?
Foster Bush: "It was probably at the end of my sophomore year. I was playing varsity that year and I really thought I had a chance to get my college paid for by playing football. I started working a lot harder to work towards that goal."

GopherSports.com: What are some of your goals for your first season as a Golden Gopher?
Foster Bush: "As a freshman, I probably won't see the field but I plan on contributing any way I can. I'll get in the weight room and learn the system as fast as I can. Getting every little thing down and eventually work towards being a productive member of the team."

GopherSports.com: What are some of your long-term goals for your college career?
Foster Bush: "Obviously, I would like to play in the NFL if that opportunity comes up. I would like to be All-Big Ten. Making a trip to the Rose Bowl would be nice, too."

GopherSports.com: What are you most looking forward to coming to Minnesota?
Foster Bush: "I did develop a good relationship with Coach Kill and the other coaches, so I am really excited to work with them. I am also excited to see a lot of the facilities at Minnesota. I'm looking forward to playing in TCF Bank Stadium and seeing everything else Minnesota has to offer."

GopherSports.com: What is your favorite football memory?
Foster Bush: "Toward the end of the season when we won the conference championship my senior year. The last few teams (at Menasha) had not even made it to the playoffs and we were all of a sudden conference champs."

GopherSports.com: Is there anyone that you've idolized throughout your football career? If so, who and why?
Foster Bush: "Our offensive line coach, his name is Andy Kemp, he was a former Badger offensive lineman. He was kind of the football celebrity of my hometown. I modeled a lot of my game after him."

GopherSports.com: Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Foster Bush: "Go into the locker room, turn on my music and focus. I don't like to get myself too hyped up. I think about what I need to do."

GopherSports.com: Do you play any other sports along with football?
Foster Bush: "I throw shot put and discus for the track team."

GopherSports.com: What have you been up to since Signing Day?
Foster Bush: "Just trying to focus on finishing strong my senior year and trying to make sure I have as much fun as I possibly can and enjoy the remainder of high school so I can go out and be as ready as I possibly can for college."

GopherSports.com: What is some of your favorite music to listen to?
Foster Bush: "A lot of hip-hop, rap and rock. A lot of fast music."

GopherSports.com: What are your favorite movies? Or what movies have you seen recently that you really enjoyed?
Foster Bush: "I'd say that my favorite is Remember the Titans. That is always a classic football movie. I haven't seen a lot of the newer movies. I should probably get on that."

GopherSports.com: Do you have any 'must-see' television shows?
Foster Bush: "Dexter for sure. And I watch SportsCenter every day."

GopherSports.com: Do you know what you want to study in college?
Foster Bush: "I am going in undecided and will try to figure it our eventually. I would like to coach, so I'll explore that."

GopherSports.com: Do you have anything else you'd like to say to Gopher fans who are reading this?
Foster Bush: "I am excited to bring Minnesota up to a high level in the Big Ten Conference. I will work as hard as I can and make sure everyone else is working as hard as they can and make sure we are playing up to the level that we should be."
