The University of Minnesota was well represented at the 2011 Marshfield Clinic Northwoods League All-Star Game, Monday night in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Golden Gopher infielder Dan Olinger was named the Star of Stars in the game as he aided the North to a 6-3 win over the South at Witter Field.

Olinger started at third base and played the entire game. The Gopher red-shirt sophomore went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Olinger helped the North to an early 2-0 lead. Batting again in the third inning, Olinger hit a single and scored to put the North up, 4-1. Adding another single in the fifth inning, he led off the seventh inning with his third single of the game and later scored.
