Gophers Receive CSCAA Scholar All-America Awards

Eleven members of the Gopher women's swimming and diving team have been named 2010-11 Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. Minnesota's total of 11 individual honorees is the highest of any team at this spring's NCAA Championships.
To qualify for the Scholar All-America team, an athlete must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and qualify for the national championship. In addition to having 11 individuals meeting these criteria, Minnesota also received the Team Scholar All-America Award. This honor is presented to teams achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during both semesters.
Individual Scholar All-Americans for the Gophers include All-American Kaylee Jamison, who was also named a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American, and national champion Jillian Tyler (100-yard breaststroke). A complete list of Minnesota's award recipients follows below.
