Team USA Defeats Sweden 2-0, Remains Undefeated

The U.S. women's hockey team defeated Sweden 2-0 today in the IIFH Twelve Nations Invitational in Vierumäki, Finland. Team USA is now 5-0 in the tournament with wins over Russia, Japan, Switzerland, Canada and Sweden.
Gopher forward Jen Schoullis was in the line up for today's game against Sweden, but did not earn any points. Amanda Kessel was not in today's line up.
Gopher goalie Noora Raty played in her first IIHF Twelve Nations game today, representing Team Finland. Defenseman Mira Jalosuo was also in the line up for Finland today. Finland suffered its first loss of the tournament, falling to Canada 3-2. Team Finland was ahead 2-1 until the final eight minutes of the game. Canada scored at 52:19 to tie the score 2-2, and notched another goal with two minutes remaining in the game to go ahead 3-2. Finland owns a tournament record of 4-1.
