Minnesota Announces 2026-27 Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's hockey team announced its full 2026-27 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 18 home games at Ridder Arena, a 28-game WCHA conference slate and 34 total contests.
Under first-year head coach Greg "Boom" May, the Gophers will open play on the road with two conference games at Bemidji State on Oct. 2-3 before hosting the East/West Showcase at Ridder Arena from Oct. 9-11. Minnesota will face Maine on Oct. 9 before closing the showcase with a nonconference matchup against Bemidji State on Oct. 11.
The Maroon and Gold return to WCHA play on Oct. 16-17, welcoming Ohio State to Ridder Arena for an early season test with the defending WCHA Tournament Champions. Minnesota will then host Lindenwood for a nonconference series on Oct. 22-23 before closing out October with a road series at Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 30-31.
Minnesota begins November with a home-and-home battle against St. Cloud State on Nov. 13-14 before traveling across the Twin Cities to face St. Thomas on Nov. 20-21. The Gophers will then head to Washington, D.C., for DI in DC, where they will match up with Princeton on Nov. 27 and Penn State on Nov. 28.
The Gophers return home for one of the marquee series of the season when Wisconsin visits Ridder Arena on Dec. 4-5. Minnesota wraps up the first half of the season with a home-and-home set against Minnesota State on Dec. 11-12. Friday, Dec. 11at Ridder Arena will be the third annual Gopher Women's Hockey Field Trip Game presented by Kwik Trip.
Following the extended break, Minnesota resumes conference action with a home series against Bemidji State on Jan. 8-9 before hosting Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 15-16. The Gophers then travel to Columbus, Ohio, for two contests at Ohio State on Jan. 22-23.
Minnesota closes out January by hosting St. Thomas on Jan. 29-30 before heading to Madison for a Border Battle series with Wisconsin on Feb. 5-6.
The final month of the regular season features another home-and-home series against Minnesota State on Feb. 12-13 and concludes with a home-and-home matchup against St. Cloud State on Feb. 19-20.
Game times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
