The Golden Gopher women's cross country team will play host to the Fifth Annual Jack's Run, honoring the late Minnesota equipment manager Jack Johnson, on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. Proceeds of the race are divided equally between the Jack Johnson Endowed Scholarship and the Angel Foundation of Minnesota. The 6-kilometer run, open to the public, will begin at 5 p.m.

Race registration will be held on race day only, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Les Bolstad Driving Range. It is free to run, but donations are encouraged. A Jack's Run hat will be given to those donating $20 or more.

Jack Johnson will always be a part of the Minnesota women's cross country and track programs. After serving as the Golden Gophers' equipment manager for over three decades, Johnson passed away in February of 2006 after a battle with cancer.
