The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team takes to the road Saturday for a non-conference dual at Kansas. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 1:00 p.m. from Robinson Natatorium.

The Golden Gophers head into the non-league matchup with a 2-0 record on the season, which includes wins over Michigan and Iowa State, and a ton of momentum. Against the Cyclones, Minnesota claimed titles in 15 events, while also setting 10 meet records in the process. Sophomore Jessica Plant was named the co-Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, Maggie Keefer earned Big Ten Diver of the Week accolades and Kierra Smith was tabbed the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for their performances in the home-opener vs. Iowa State.

Last season, Minnesota defeated Kansas in convincing fashion at the University Aquatic Center by a score of 206-87. The Gophers won all 16 events, led by Tess Behrens and Tori Simenec who each had three victories.

The Jayhawks are coming off a season-opening win at Rice, where several newcomers made strong debuts to give the Jayhawks a 166-132 edge over the Owls.
