MINNEAPOLIS -- Four players scored in double figures, led by 14 points from senior forward Rodney Williams Jr., as #21 Minnesota improved to 8-1 with an 87-59 win over North Florida on Saturday afternoon at Williams Arena.

Trailing 18-10 with 11:54 remaining in the first half, the Gophers went on a 20-3 run over the next seven-plus minutes to take a 30-21 lead, and they pushed their advantage to 10 points, 37-27, at the half.

Senior forward Trevor Mbakwe came off the bench to lead the Gophers with 11 points and four rebounds in just seven first-half minutes, while junior guard Austin Hollins added 10 points, four boards and a career-best three blocks in the opening half.

Williams finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Gophers, while Austin Hollins had 12 points, six boards and four blocked shots. Mbakwe and sophomore guard Joe Coleman each netted 11 points to round out the double-digit scorers for the Gophers, while sophomore forward Maurice Walker had nine points.

UNF (3-5) was led by Parker Smith's game-high 22 points. The 6-foot-3 senior guard entered the game leading the nation in three-point field goals, but was held to just 3-of-11 from beyond the arc. Travis Wallace added 17 points and six rebounds for the Ospreys.

The Gophers remain home to play host to South Dakota State on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 7:00 p.m. (CT). That game can be seen on ESPN3, and can be heard on the Gopher Radio Network.
