Four Gophers Named to Academic All-Big Ten Team

Four members of the University of Minnesota men's country team were among the recipients of Academic All-Big Ten accolades for the fall season, the conference announced today. The five Golden Gopher fall sports teams earned 70 Academic All-Big Ten certificates in total.

In order for qualify for Academic All-Big Ten honors, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better.

Senior Pieter Gagnon, junior Bob Nicolls, sophomore Blayne Dulian and redshirt freshman Adam Zutz represented the Gophers cross country tream on this year's academic honors list. Gagnon and Zutz both factored into Minnesota's seventh-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
