Hassan Mead and the Gophers are now ranked eighth in the country

The University of Minnesota men's track and field team jumped back into the top ten of the national rankings this week. Minnesota currently is No. 8 in the country heading into this weekend’s Big Ten Indoor championships.

The Maroon and Gold are set to defend their title once again this weekend as they head to Lincoln, NE. Minnesota is the highest of five Big Ten schools that are in the top 25. Indiana is next in line at No. 11, followed by Ohio State at No. 13, Nebraska No.15 and Penn State at No. 18.
