Minnesota Holds on to No. 6 Ranking

The Gopher men's gymnastics team remains ranked No. 6 nationally after their road win at UIC this past weekend.
As a team Minnesota is ranked in the top five on two events. The Gophers kept their No. 5 ranking on the still rings and moved from No. 2 to No. 4 on the parallel bars.
Eight Gopher gymnasts are ranked in the top 20 on individual events.
Senior DJ Repp dropped one spot to No. 14 in the all-around rankings.
On the floor exercise Kyle Banks is ranked No. 13. The freshman is also tied for 20th on the high bar. Joining him in the high bar rankings is freshman Steve Jaciuk. Jaciuk is tied for the No. 13 spot.
On the pommel horse Ellis Mannon is ranked ninth. Teammate John Scallon moved up six spots into a tie for 14th.
Russell Dabritz is ranked in the top 20 on two events. Dabritz moved up three spots to No. 11 on the still rings after posting a career-high on the event in the last meet. He also scored a personal best on the parallel bars and currently holds on to the No. 3 ranking.
Ross Cameratta also represents the Gophers on the parallel bars. Cameratta is tied for 11th.
Zack Chase remains in the vault rankings, where he is tied for No. 13 in the nation.
Minnesota's next meet is March 3rd at home against Iowa and Brockport. The meet will be held in the Sports Pavilion at 7pm.
