The Big Ten Conference announced Monday afternoon that the University of Minnesota will be competing in the evening session at the Big Ten Championships this weekend. The No. 16-ranked Gophers are seeded fourth in the conference.
Minnesota is slated to begin competition at 6:05 p.m. in the evening session, which also includes No. 6 Nebraska, No. 12 Penn State and No. 13 Ohio State.
The Gophers enter the Big Ten competition with high hopes of making some noise in the competition since they have peaked at the right time. Minnesota has posted scores over 196.000 four times in the last six meets, which has helped them shoot to 16th in the nation.
No. 21 Michigan, No. 23 Illinois, Iowa and Michigan State will partake in the afternoon session at 1:05 p.m.
Both sessions of the Big Ten Championships will be live on the Big Ten Network.
