Gophers Compete Friday at Tom Cat Twilight

HEAT SHEETS (Tom Cat)

The Minnesota men's track and field team will hit the track again this weekend at a couple different locations. Most of the squad will stay in the Twin Cities and compete at the St. Thomas "Tom Cat Twilight" Invitational, while a pair of throwers will travel to River Falls, Wis., for the UWRF Falcon Invitational.

Action for the Twilight will take place at the University of St. Thomas at O' Shaughnessy Stadium. The Golden Gophers will have over 20 participants on Friday, with field events starting at 4 p.m.

Justin Barber and Jon Lehman will each hit the road for the UWRF Falcon Invitational, in River Falls, Wis.

WHO TO WATCH ON FRIDAY

Harun Abda is scheduled to run the 1,500 meters and Cameron Boy will race the 200 meters. Looking to improve on his mark from last week in the pole vault, Jack Szmanda will also compete in the 110 meter hurdles.

NEXT WEEK

Looking forward to next weekend Minnesota will head back to the west coast to take part in the Mt. Sac Relays and Azusa Pacific Invitational.
