NEBRASKA-OMAHA NOTES
• This is the first ever meeting between Minnesota and Nebraska Omaha
• Nebraska Omaha is in its first year as a reclassifying Division I school in 2011-12 and will officially join The Summit League next year with a full conference schedule in 2013. Prior to the reclassification, UNO was a part of the Division II Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).
• For the 2012-2013 season, the Mavericks will join the Summit League. Other teams in the Summit League include NDSU (24-9), SDSU (11-19-1), Western Illinois (12-20), Southern Utah (10-24), Oral Roberts (17-17), and Oakland (10-24).

MINNESOTA NOTABLES
• John Anderson is in his 31st year as the Golden Gopher head coach and 34th year overall at the University of Minnesota. Anderson is coaching his 1,833-34th career game. He currently holds an all-time record of 1,085-716-3 (.602 winning percentage).
• The Golden Gopher baseball team is in its 124th year as a Minnesota varsity sport.
• Minnesota is 20-17 on the season as it is coming off a three-game sweep over Northwestern.

ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota travels to East Lansing, Mich., and Michigan State this weekend. Friday's game is set for 3:05 p.m., followed by a back-to-back 1:05 p.m. games. Minnesota will add its fourth-straight road game when it travels to North Dakota State, Wed., April 25 at 6:30 p.m.

NCAA STATISTICS
The Gopher pitchers continue to prove their worth not only in the Big Ten, but nationally. As a team, Minnesota ranks 27th nationally with the lowest ERA. Minnesota as a unit, also ranks 19th in the country for lowest hits allowed in a nine inning game. With 334.7, the Gophers have allowed just 291 hits.

TJ Oakes continues to holding the opposing teams to minimal runs. On the season, he holds a Big Ten Conference best 1.41 ERA. His ERA currently ranks 17th in the nation. Of the 17 with lower ERAs, 11 have pitched over 40 innings this season. Oakes has seen action in 63.7 innings pitched. DJ Snelten ranks 79th in the country, holding a 2.20 ERA. Kevin Kray is tied for 61st in saves (6).

SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS
Nebraska Omaha come to greet Minnesota with an 11-25 overall season record. Currently in the process of reclassifying, the soon to be Summit League members are 1-3 at home, and 6-18 away. Last weekend, the Mavericks were away at Las Vegas to play the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in a four game series. Friday's game resulted in a 7-10 loss, followed by a 2-11 loss on Saturday morning. Although the Maverick's came back in Saturday's second double header game by winning 8-6, they suffered a huge loss on Sunday when the UNLV Rebels defeated them 20-1 and ultimately claiming the series. Senior Catcher Colby McCord leads the team in batting, by holding an average of .371 in 35 games. He also reigns on top in runs with 22, hits with 52, doubles with 16, has one triple, 19 RBI, and is tied for first for home runs with three. Behind him is Brady Hohl who is .296, with 48 hits, 12 doubles, and 19 RBI, and Alex Mortensen who is .281 with 17 runs, three home runs, and is the RBI team leader with 22.
