Golden Gopher Rowing Tryouts

The University of Minnesota women's rowing team will hold its annual informational meetings on Monday, Sept. 3, and Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 2:30 p.m. at the U of M Boathouse. The Boathouse is located in the East River Park between Coffman and the Mississippi River.
Any students interested in learning more about joining the Minnesota rowing program should attend one of these meetings. Gopher rowers are among the university's fittest and academically focused students on campus.
What to know:
1. Ideal rowers are typically 5'8 and taller.
2. Ideal coxswains are typically 5'4 and under and should weigh less than 115 pounds. Coxswains are responsible for everything from steering shells to planning and executing race strategy.
3. There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
What to bring:
1. Health Insurance Card
2. Copy of Physical
3. Class Schedule
4. NCAA Eligibility Center # (if you have one)
5. A Friend or Two
Then head down to the U of M Boathouse for one of the meetings on:
Monday, Sept. 3 - 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 4 - 2:30 p.m.
