THE BASICS
Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational will provide some strong competition for the Golden Gophers. Members of all of Minnesota's event groups except the throwers will travel to South Bend for the two-day invite. For many of the distance runners, this will basically be their second meet.

COACH SAYS...
"Notre Dame is a great distance meet," director of track and field and cross country Matt Bingle said. "Our distance runners have been training well, and it will be a good challenge for them to run against some of the best runners in the Midwest. Most of the sprints, jumps and hurdles had a nice week off last weekend, and I'm excited about their training. I want to see how they react against good competition at Notre Dame. We're getting acclimated to being back in school, and this meet will be a good sign of where we we're at and where we need to be."
