FORT MYERS, FLA. - Minnesota scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning to propel it to a 7-4 win against St. Bonaventure on Saturday at the FGCU/LaQuinta Inn at the Airport Spring Break Invitational.

The Gophers scored all five runs in the third on just one hit, a double to left center by Tyler Walker, who was batting second that inning. Minnesota then loaded the bases on a walk, one of five walks in the frame. St. Bonaventure starting pitcher Carly Bilchak (0-4) had a rough night for the Bonnies, going 2.0+ innings and allowing five runs (four earned) with seven walks and no strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Minnesota's junior right-hander Sara Moulton (6-4) opened the game by striking out eight of the first nine SBU batters. Moulton wound up with 11 strikeouts and just one walk, while allowing two hits and one earned run in 6.2 innings.

Walker was Minnesota's leader at the plate, going 3-for-3 with one run scored and an RBI, while freshman left fielder Sydney Fabian went 1-for-2 and scored two runs. Sophomore pinch hitter Hannah Granger also doubled into the left field corner as part of a two-run sixth.

Minnesota improved to 3-1 so far at the tournament, and the Gophers will wrap things up by facing Albany at 8:00 a.m. CT on Sunday morning. Minnesota defeated the Great Danes, 4-2, on Friday.
