Minnesota Hosts Second Annual Golden Evening

Photo Gallery This past Friday night the University of Minnesota held the second annual "Golden Evening" in the DQ Room of TCF Bank Stadium to thank donors and sponsors for their generous support. Coaches, student-athletes, donors, sponsors and staff enjoyed a night filled with food catered by Lake Elmo Inn and live music compliments of Belladiva.
Over 350 guests attended the event, which was co-hosted by the Golden Gopher Fund and Gopher Sports Properties. "A Golden Evening" is a way to thank the donors and sponsors of Gopher Athletics whose contributions have helped support the department and student-athlete scholarships.
"The Golden Evening is all about thanking and recognizing our many friends who support Gopher Athletics as donors or sponsors throughout the year," said Associate Athletics Director of Development Randy Handel. "It was a wonderful celebration and will only grow in the years to come!"
A few notable Gophers in attendance included President Eric Kaler, Director of Athletics Norwood Teague, head football coach Jerry Kill and women's basketball standout Rachel Banham.
