Janzen Wins Gold at US Open

University of Minnesota swimmer Kiera Janzen claimed the 2013 U.S. Open title in the 200-meter freestyle Friday night at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. The junior won the event with a time of 1:58.28.
Janzen, who was fourth at the race's halfway point, finished ahead of Sarah Henry, who charged home in the final 50m to take second place in 1:58.89 and Australia's Kelly Stubbins, who hung on for third in 1:59.25.
The Gopher was one of three Americans to win events titles Friday.
