Gophers 13th after Second Day at Betsy Rawls Invite

AUSTIN, Texas - On a day when no individual golfer recorded a below-par round, day two at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational came to an end Monday with the Minnesota women's golf team in 13th place at the University of Texas Golf Club.
Senior Carmen Laguna made the largest jump up the leaderboard, as she moved eleven spots to tie for 40th place at +13 (79-78-157). Fellow senior Anna Laorr is tied with Laguna (73-84-157). Freshman Sabrine Garrison finished the second round tied for 48th (78-81-159). Rounding out the Gopher lineup, freshmen Celia Kuenster (74-89-163) and Heather Ciskowski (76-89-165) sit in ties for 60th and 63rd place, respectively.
Competing individually, sophomore Emie Peronnin shot a second-round 79 (+7) and is tied for 48th (80-79-159).
As a team, Minnesota closed the day with a score of 332, three shots behind 12th-place Indiana (299-331-630).
UNLV their lead from day one of competition and finished the day with a 314 (+26). Baylor's Haley Davis remains atop of the tournament leaderboard at -4 (65-75--140).
The Gophers return to action for the final round of the tournament Tuesday morning at 8:33 a.m., with Peronnin set to tee off at 8:15.
