What is a quote that you live by?
If you had to describe your team in five words, what would they be?
Favorite Gopher tradition.
Gophersports.com had the opportunity to catch up with Hugo, Minn. native and starting goalkeeper, Tarah Hobbs, before the border battle match up. The sophomore, who was the first Gopher to be named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year last season, has 63 saves in the 2014 campaign. She has started all but one game for the Maroon and Gold and has recorded five shutouts this season. Hobbs is on course to break into the top five for career saves in the Minnesota record book.
What was your favorite TV show growing up?
Spongebob.
What other hobbies do you have outside of soccer?
Basketball.
If you could be one movie character, who would you be and why?
I would be Batman because he uses the human mind as his super power.
What is your walk out song? Is it your favorite song or does it have some other meaning?
My walk out song is "NaeNae." It is funny and gets me hyped when I dance to it.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat for the rest of your life what would it be?
"Centuries" by Fall Out Boy.
If one dance move described you, what would it be?
NaeNae.
What is your favorite Gopher Soccer memory?
Getting Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and beating Penn State last season.
What does wearing the Maroon and Gold mean to you?
It means everything to me. I bleed maroon and gold and I couldn't picture myself anywhere else but Minnesota. I love wearing the "M" on my jersey.
Favorite part of playing at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium?
The fans are crazy and make the atmosphere unreal. The stadium/field is one of the best in the country and I am so blessed to be able to be a part of a soccer community that just wants to see you succeed. Game days at ELR are awesome and it is just something you can't describe in words.
Who do you look up to most on the team (or coaching staff)?
Katie Thyken and my GK coach, Deana.
What is a quote that you live by?
When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful.
Who is your fashion icon?
Not necessarily an icon, but any professional athlete that wears Nike... :)
If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
I would have dinner with my dad.
Favorite restaurant and what do you order there?
Osaka. I order fried rice, chicken, Noodles, and Filet Mignon.
Biggest life lesson you've learned in college?
Time management is key to being successful with balancing a crazy schedule.

Hilarious, grit, invesment, team pride and incredible

I play the Ukulele!
