Gophers' Road Journey Starts At Indiana

GOPHERS HIT THE ROAD TO INDIANA
The University of Minnesota hits the road to Bloomington, Ind., to face the Indiana Hoosiers, Wednesday night, 6 p.m. CT. The Golden Gophers (14-7, 4-6 in the Big Ten) then travel to No. 13 Purdue, Nov. 1 in West Lafayette, Ind.

ROAD WARRIORS
Minnesota begins a stretch in which it plays the next seven of 10 matches on the road. The Gophers have four-straight road matches before they host Northwestern on Nov. 12. Following the Indiana/Purdue tilt, Minnesota travels to Michigan State/Michigan, Nov. 7-8. Minnesota is 6-3 away from the Sports Pavilion this season, including a 4-3 mark on opponent's home court.
ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota plays Purdue at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 1. The Gophers then travel to East Lansing, Mich., and Ann Arbor, Mich., Nov. 7-8, both 6 p.m. CT starts.
BTN TELEVISION;SCHEDULE UPDATE
The Big Ten Network and the Big Ten Conference has announced that Minnesota's match at Purdue (11/1) will be picked up by the network and televised live. Due to the television lineup, the start time has also been adjusted to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET. The wildcard addition will mark the sixth time this season a Gopher match is televised and the second time on the road.
ABOUT THE HOOSIERS
Indiana enters the Minnesota match with a 13-9 overall record and a 4-6 mark within Big Ten Play. The Hoosiers opened the Big Ten season with a split against Michigan State and Michigan, while they defeated Maryland and Rutgers this following week. Following losses against Purdue (twice), Ohio State, Penn State and Illinois, Indiana earned a five-set win at Northwestern. Indiana has five student-athletes with triple-digit kills. Led by Taylor Lebo (2.76 per set), Morgan Leach (2.71) and Amelia Anderson (3.07), Awele Nwaeze also has 175 and averages 1.15 blocks per set. Lebo also ranks second in the conference with 0.48 aces per set. Libero Courtney Harnish holds a team-high 351 digs and ranks sixth in the Big Ten overall dig statistics.
LAST YEAR AGAINST THE HOOSIERS
Minnesota earned two wins last year against Indiana, both coming in 3-0 wins. The Gophers opened up the Big Ten season at home against the Hoosiers as it won, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18. The Gophers then went to Bloomington, Ind., Nov. 2, to win 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE HOOSIERS
The Gophers are 50-15 all-time against Indiana, dating back to 1975. The Gophers' last loss to Indiana came in 2010, when the Hoosiers won in four.
DIGGIN' IT
The tandem of Dalianliz Rosado and Alyssa Goehner have split time as the Gopher libero this season. In the past four matches, Rosado has accumulated 10 plus digs. In both matches against Wisconsin, Rosado had 13 digs. Last week against Nebraska, she collected a career-high 21, followed by 10 in the three-set Iowa win. In all, Rosado has had eight matches with 10 or more digs. Goehner has also seen action as the libero this season and has posted 10 matches withover 10 digs. Both sharing back row responsibilities, the pair rookies combine for 366 digs.
