B1G Tournament Pairings Announced

The Big Ten Conference office announced the 2014 Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament match ups on Saturday evening following the final games of the regular season. Minnesota, who earned the No. 6 seed in the tournament, boasts a 10-8-1 overall record and a 7-5-1 conference mark. The Maroon and Gold punched their ticket to postseason play after shutting out Maryland last weekend.
The Gophers will kick off their postseason run on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the No. 3-seeded Michigan Wolverines at the Purdue Soccer Complex in West Lafayette, Ind. Minnesota looks to avenge an earlier overtime loss to the Wolverines in the opening game of conference play. Michigan has earned an 8-2-3 conference record and ended the regular season in a 1-1 draw with the tournament host, Purdue.
The Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament semifinals will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 7, while the tournament will conclude with the championship game at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 9. Live streamed coverage of all four quarterfinal matches will be available on BTN Plus. BTN and BTN2Go will provide live coverage of the first semifinal on Friday, with the second semifinal game streaming live on BTN2Go at 2 p.m. ET and airing on delay on BTN beginning at 11:30 p.m. ET.
