Bartnik Earns NCAA Championship Bid

MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) -- NCAA All-Region and First Team All-Big Ten honoree Aaron Bartnik officially was named as an NCAA championships individual competitor on Saturday afternoon and will represent the Minnesota men's cross country program at the NCAA meet on Friday, Nov. 22 at Terre Haute, Ind.
The Eden Prairie, Minn., native has led Minnesota in each of his last six races including a win at the Fall Finale last year in his collegiate debut. This season, Bartnik has paced the team in all five races including four top-10 finishes. The junior finished fourth overall at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Friday with a time of 30:12.0 -- the fastest 10-kilometer by a Gopher at the regional since 2010 -- to earn the individual bid.
