Gopher Sports: Why did you decide to swim for the University of Minnesota?
Blake Zeiger: I loved the campus and admired that the team got along so well together.
GS: What is your favorite swimming memory?
BZ: My favorite memory has been winning the B1G Championships my freshman year.
GS: What is your favorite pre-race song?
BZ: Currently it's Bad by David Guetta and Showtek
GS: What is the best advice you have received from one of the coaches at Minnesota?
BZ: Kelly once told me if the only bad thing that happens in a given day is a bad swim practice, that day was a pretty good day.
GS: What is your dream job?
BZ: Teaching English in a foreign country.
GS: What is your favorite post-meet meal?
BZ: After Championships season, I like to celebrate with Chinese food.
GS: Do you have any other hobbies outside of swimming?
BZ: I really enjoy baking and attempting Pinterest crafts.
GS: What do you plan on doing after graduation?
BZ: My plans are still up in the air after graduation. There are a few things I am thinking about, for example, teaching English abroad.
GS: Want to give a shout out to anyone?
BZ: I'd like to give a shout out to my sister, Brooke Zeiger, she has done so well at meets so far and is having a wonderful start to her freshman year!
