· Minnesota improved to 2-0 on the season with a 93-76 win over Cleveland State Wednesday afternoon for Kids Field Trip Day.
· The announced attendance for today's game was 2,447, which included nearly 1,600 elementary school children.
· The Gophers outscored the Vikings, 52-32, in the second half after trailing 41-44 at halftime.
· Minnesota's 12-point deficit in the first half was its largest of the season and its largest comeback win of the year.
· The Maroon and Gold had three players post double-doubles in the win, including Rachel Banham, Shae Kelley and Amanda Zahui B.
· Through its first two games, Minnesota is averaging 101.0 points per game.
Individual
· Rachel Banham posted her first-career points/assists double-double with 27 points and a career-high 13 assists. Her previous high was eight assists.
· Amanda Zahui B. recorded the 20th double-double of her career with 15 points and 14 rebounds to move into a tie for fifth place with Ashley Ellis-Milan on Minnesota's career record chart. Janel McCarville holds the record with 49 career double-doubles.
· Zahui B. posted double-digit rebounds for the second time this season and the 26th time of her career. The Gophers are 19-7 when she pulls down 10 or more rebounds.
· She had five blocks for the second-straight game. She now has 115 career-blocks which ranks fifth all-time for the Gophers.
· Shae Kelley tallied her second double-double in as many games with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
· She has totaled 20 or more points in back-to-back games, as well.
· Freshman Carlie Wagner was one of four Gophers to score in double figures, as she tallied 10+ points for the first time in her career. The rookie finished the contest with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.
· Junior Kayla Hirt totaled a career-best three steals.
