GOPHERS CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON THIS WEEK

The University of Minnesota volleyball team bookends Thanksgiving, playing Wednesday night at Ohio State and Friday home against Indiana. Wednesday's match is set for 6 p.m. CT in Columbus, Ohio. The Friday match is the regular season finale as the Golden Gophers take on the Hoosiers at 7 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.

Wednesday's Minnesota/Ohio State match will be streamed on the OSU video feed. Friday's match against the Hoosiers will be streamed on BTN Plus. Both matches will feature a live blog as well as live stats.

NCAA SELECTION SHOW

The NCAA will announce Division I volleyball's 64-field post season competitors, Sunday, Nov. 30, in a live selection show broadcast through ESPNU. The selection show will air at 7:30 p.m. CT.

GOPHERS SET TO HOST REGIONAL, DEC. 12-13

The University of Minnesota, along with Iowa State, Louisville and Washington, will host this year's NCAA Regionals, Dec. 12-13. Match times have been announced for Minneapolis: Friday, Dec. 12 semifinal matches begin at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The NCAA Regional final will be held at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 13. ABOUT THE BUCKEYES

The No. 20 Ohio State Buckeyes enter the Minnesota match with a 19-11 overall record and a 10-8 mark in Big Ten play. OSU split action last week as it defeated Iowa, 3-0, and fell to Wisconsin, 3-0. Erin Sekinger has a team-high 359 kills, followed by Taylor Sandbothe with 272 and Elizabeth Campbell with 280. Taylor Sherwin runs the Buckeye offense with 1134 assists, while adding 18 aces and 212 digs. Valeria Leon holds a team-high 408 digs, while Sandbothe also averages 1.12 blocks per set. As a team, the Buckeyes are hitting .226.

ABOUT THE HOOSIERS

Indiana enters the week with a 15-15 overall record and a 6-12 conference mark. After back-to-back wins over Northwestern and the Gophers, the Hoosiers have dropped six matches, including four against ranked opponents. Indiana has three players with a team-high 289 kills in Taylor Lebo, Amelia Anderson and Morgan Leach. Lebo also leads the team and ranks second in the Big Ten in aces (50) and aces per set (0.46). Awele Nwaeze averages 1.06 blocks per set, while Courtney Harnish has a team-high 423 digs. As a team, the Hoosiers are hitting .182 and average 1.96 blocks per set.

ALL TIME AGAINST OSU AND INDIANA

Minnesota holds the all-time series against both the Buckeyes and the Hoosiers. The Gophers are 38-33 against OSU, dating back to 1975. Minnesota is 50-16 all-time against Indiana, also dating back to 1975. Minnesota defeated Ohio State September 24 to kick off the Big Ten season. The Gophers fell to Indiana October 29 in Bloomington, Ind. Both matches were decided in five sets.
