After starting its 2014-15 dual season with a pair of road victories, Gopher Wrestling returned to Minneapolis last week for a pair of home duals, first against Grand Canyon on Thursday night to open the team's home schedule and then against Michigan State the following night to open its Big Ten schedule.

Minnesota took eight matches from Grand Canyon in the Thursday night bout, winning the dual 36-8. The team followed up with an even more decisive victory to open conference competition against Michigan State, winning the final nine matches of the dual and taking the meet 36-3. The second night of matches featured the return of three senior All-Americans to the Gopher lineup: Chris Dardanes (133), Nick Dardanes (141) and Scott Schiller (197). All three looked impressive in their returns, combining to earn a decision and two victories by fall.

This week, the team will challenge its first ranked opponent of the season when Minnesota hosts No. 8 Oklahoma State at 7:30 p.m. CT on Friday night at the Sports Pavilion.
