Gopher Sports: Why did you decide to attend the University of Minnesota?

Corey Mills: University of Minnesota had everything I needed; a phenomenal swimming program, a top-notch Chemical Engineering program, and a great team atmosphere. The fact that Minnesota is a lot like Canada was just icing on the cake.

GS: What is your most memorable swimming/diving moment?

CM: I always enjoy our annual Christmas training camps to Hawaii. It's a great time to get some really good training in as well as to get to know my teammates more.

GS: What is your favorite part of being a Golden Gopher?

CM: Everything. I was very privileged to have received an education from one of the top programs in the country for my major while still being able compete and train as a Division I athlete.

GS: What is your favorite pre-race song?

CM: Atmosphere, Kaskade

GS: What is the best advice you have received from one of the coaches at Minnesota?

CM: My coach, Ryan Purdy, does a really great job of keeping things in perspective for me as well as keeping me relaxed.

GS: What is your dream job?

CM: Anything that constantly challenges me and pushes my limits.

GS: What is your favorite post-meet meal?

CM: Whatever Mr. and Mrs. Rafter have ready for us! I'm very appreciative of them serving all our post-meet meals at home.

GS: Do you have any other hobbies outside of swimming/diving?

CM: EDM enthusiast

GS: What do you plan on doing after graduation?

CM: I would like to get my MBA after a few years of experience in industry.

GS: Want to give a shout out to anyone?

CM: My parents for being so incredibly supportive over the years, I don't know what I would have done without them.
