Coach's Corner: November 5

In this week's edition of Coach's Corner, Head Assistant Coach Brandon Eggum looks back at last weekend's action, which included now-No. 1 Scott Schiller defeating then-No. 1 J'Den Cox of Missouri 5-3 in sudden victory overtime, and 19 Gophers competing in the 22nd Annual Warren Williamson Daktronics Open, with Steve Polakowski getting a special shout out for bringing home the title at 125.

Coach Eggum also looks ahead to the Bison Open, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Fargo, N.D. This event is the traditional wrestle-off tournament for Gopher Wrestling and, as Coach Eggum explains, it will be again this year, especially at hotly contested positions such as 125, 149 and 165.
