University of Minnesota senior guard Rachel Banham was named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll Monday after averaging 28.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in the Gophers' pair of wins over NC State and Butler last week.

In Minnesota's overtime win against Butler Sunday night, Banham scored a season-high 35 points and connected on five of her eight three-point attempts, one of which gave her Minnesota's career three-point field goal record and one that tied the game with 4.9 seconds to play. On the road at NC State, Banham had 21 points, including three three-pointers, a season-high nine rebounds and three steals to give the Gophers a win in the ACC/B1G Challenge.

The Maroon and Gold hits the road for the final time in non-conference play when it takes on North Dakota Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Grand Forks, N.D.
