Team / Series Notes
• Tonight's game was the 20th all-time meeting in men's basketball between Minnesota and North Dakota, with Minnesota holding an 18-2 lead in the series. Tonight's game was the first between the schools since Dec. 22, 1983, and the Gophers have won 12 straight against UND.
• Head coach Richard Pitino improved his record at Minnesota to 32-15, while his three-year overall record moved to 50-29.
• Minnesota improved to 30-3 all-time against teams from the Big Sky Conference, while Coach Pitino is now 2-0 versus Big Sky teams.
• The 92 points ties for the most scored during Richard Pitino's tenure. The Gophers also scored 92 points during a 92-79 win versus Omaha on Dec. 20, 2013.
• The Gophers have tallied 80-plus points in three-straight games since the first two games of last season.
• With the victory, the Gophers started the season 7-2 for the second time under Richard Pitino.
• The Gophers have held halftime leads in all but their season-opener this season.
• Nine of the 10 players who saw time on the court for the Gophers scored points.
• The Gophers made 7-of-14 (.500) three-pointers, extending a streak of six or more treys made in each of the past eight games. Minnesota has combined to make 67-of-155 (.432) three-pointers in those eight games.
• Minnesota made 4-of-8 (.500) three-pointers in the first half, and then made 3-of-6 (.500) in the second half.
• The Gophers dished out 25 assists on 36 field goals, with three players recording five or more assists.
• Six Gophers players, including all five starters, scored in double-figures. It was the first time Minnesota had six players score 10 or more points since accomplishing the feat versus New Orleans on Dec. 7, 2013.
• Minnesota had a decisive 52-22 advantage in points in the paint.
• The Gophers forced 25 North Dakota turnovers, and scored 24 points off those miscues. It's the fifth time this season that Minnesota has forced 23 or more turnovers in a game.

Individual Notes
• Senior forward Maurice Walker scored 13 of the Gophers' first 18 points by making 6-of-7 field goals in the opening seven minutes of play. He finished the game with a career-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting and also led the Gophers with seven rebounds and three blocked shots.
• Senior guard DeAndre Mathieu recorded a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 10 assists (0 turnovers). It was the first point-assist double-double by a Minnesota player since Damian Johnson had 10 points and 11 assists versus Iowa on March 7, 2010.
• Junior guard Carlos Morris had 14 points, his fifrth double-figure scoring output in the past six games. Morris made 5-of-9 field goals, while dishing out a career-best five assists and grabbing six rebounds.
• Senior guard Andre Hollins had 10 points and four rebounds. It is the 70th career double-figure scoring game for Hollins.
• Junior forward Joey King had 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting. It's King's 24th career double-digit scoring game, and his sixth this season.
• Freshman guard Nate Mason came off the bench to score 11 points and record career-highs of eight assists and six steals in 27 minutes.
