Gophers to Host NIT Hoops Doubleheader Sunday

Both the University of Minnesota men's and women's basketball teams will be in action Sunday afternoon at Williams Arena, continuing their run through the postseason in the National Invitation Tournament. Fans will be able to attend both games for one price, with the men tipping off the action against Saint Mary's (Calif.) at 2 p.m., and the women hosting SMU at 5 p.m.
The single-admission doubleheader price is $20, with the ticket good for both the men's and women's games. Fans interested in purchasing a ticket to only the women's game will be able to do so beginning at the start of the second half of the men's game. Spectators may remain in the building between the two games.
The No. 1-seeded Gophers men welcome Saint Mary's (Calif.) to the Barn at 2 p.m. in NIT second round action, and following the conclusion of that game, the Gopher women will face the SMU Mustangs in a WNIT second round matchup. There will be a minimum 20-minute break between the two games.
The first 500 University of Minnesota students will receive free admission to the doubleheader.
