Loberg, Vandenberg Win at Hamline Twlight

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Seniors Jamie Vandenberg and Katie Loberg won the 1,500-meter run and the high jump, respectively, as a handful of Golden Gophers competed at the Hamline Twilight meet Wednesday night.
Vandenberg won the 1,500m in 4:53.71, and Loberg won the high jump with a season-best leap of 5-07.25 (1.71m).
Two Gophers ran the 10,000-meter run as well. Senior Stephanie Solfelt finished third in career-best 37:45.48, and Rebecca Rethwisch took fifth in 38:55.77.
Three Gopher pole vaulters competed led by Cami Gilson's second-place jump of 12-06.75 (3.83m). Katie Murgic was fourth (11-07.00, 3.53m) and Sara Tseng was sixth (11-01.00, 3.38m).
The Gophers continue a busy week of competition at the Drake Relays (Thursday-Saturday), Grand View Viking Classic (Friday), UC San Diego Triton Invitational (Friday-Saturday) and the Macalester Invite (Saturday) this weekend.
