MINNEAPOLIS - After trailing by 15 points early in the second half, the No. 21 University of Minnesota (16-3, 5-2) women's basketball team pushed visiting Purdue into overtime with a late comeback, but it was not enough as the Gophers dropped just their second Big Ten Conference contest to the Boilermakers, 90-88, Thursday night at Williams Arena.

Despite being in foul trouble for a majority of the game, sophomore center Amanda Zahui B. led the Maroon and Gold with 26 points on a program single-game record 11-for-11 shooting performance from the field. She added 11 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season and 31st of her career.

Shayne Mullaney also tied former Gopher Debbie Hunter's single-game record with a career-best 15 assists, while adding 11 points for her first-career double-double.

Shae Kelley finished with 20 points, a team-high 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals for her eighth double-double of the season and third-straight to give Minnesota three double-doubles for just the second time this year.

The Gophers headed into the halftime trailing the Boilermakers, 50-39, but scored 40 second-half points to push the visitors into overtime. In the extra period there were four ties and four lead changes, before Purdue clinched the win with a basket with three seconds to play.

Minnesota will travel to New Jersey Sunday for its first Big Ten meeting against Rutgers at 4:15 p.m. CT on BTN.
