Coach Marlene Stollings
We had just a solid balance of scoring for us tonight. I thought defensively we were pretty solid all night. We wanted them to be pretty much 65 (points) or below and they were right where we wanted them to be. I thought it was a very solid defensive performance. Offensively, we ended up spreading out the points in the end; obviously in the first half we struggled a little bit and had to just keep fighting. We were getting tremendous looks, we couldn't ask for any better looks. We tell our kids to keep shooting the ball and it will eventually go down; in the second half they obviously went down a lot better.
On the adjustment on offense to come back from being down twelve early in the second...
Our team has the ability to be pretty explosive offensively and the same looks were there, they just started falling. I thought we got some good rebounds during that stretch.
On shooting from the outside and if it was part of the game plan...
They play a zone and based on some of their coverage's we knew we could get a lot of 3's. Yes, it was our game plan to go ahead and take those shots. We typically shoot it a lot better than that but you have nights like that and it was important for Amanda and Shae to go rebound for us. I thought we did a good job on that in the second half. We did want to go inside, as well, to start the game you saw us go in three consecutive times to "Z" very nicely. They have good size inside, they have 6'6 and 6'5 in there so we're going to take those open looks any time we get them.
On a thin bench in clutch moments...
We'd like to note that we're very proud of our kids for winning the game tonight and moving to 17-4 for the season. We haven't been very deep into the bench for most of the season so our kids are pretty used to playing a large bulk of minutes. We're conditioned for that so it's not any different for us today than what it was a month ago. Do you have any comment on the three transfers? Yes, those young ladies wanted to go to institutions that better fit their skill set. We're very supportive of those decisions and we're helping them get to those particular schools.

On defensive changes in the second half...
We had to get stops and they were looking inside. You know, they're big and tall. We had to get stops somehow and get around the block.
On ability to post up on defense...
Hard work. I just try to get stops and they were struggling to get around.
On being in foul trouble...
It's me. I need to be more mature about it. Sometimes I can't even feel it so we are working on that in practice and trying to stay focused.
On pushing through tough nights on the ball...
You just have to keep fighting, no matter how it goes. This is a team sport and as long as my team is doing good then I can get boards, I can play defense, I don't have to score. I have to get more open looks and score when I get it.

On second half defense...
In the first half I was able to get around them a little bit. Just sweep in and go baseline. In the second half my team was able to hit me in some spots. We ran some plays specifically for me and we took those opportunities. The couple inbounds that I got and was able to capitalize on those.
On her momentum swinging layup and her "and one"...
That was definitely a momentum changer. It settled our lead a little bit more. The crowd was great, they always pick up once we make a good play or a good stop. That just helps us, it helps our momentum on the floor.
