Stollings to do Let's Play Hockey Thursday

MINNEAPOLIS - University of Minnesota head women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings has been selected to do the Let's Play Hockey pregame announcement at Thursday night's Minnesota Wild vs. Chicago Blackhawks game at the Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop for the contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. at will be broadcast live on NHL Network, Fox Sports North and Fox Sports Wisconsin.
Stollings is in her first season at the helm of the Gopher women's basketball team and has led the squad to a 14-1 overall record, a 3-0 record in Big Ten Conference play and a No. 23 ranking in this week's Associated Press Top-25 Poll for the first time since 2006.
The No. 23 Gophers are set to face No. 12 Maryland Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Williams Arena. The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and will feature the top-two teams in the Big Ten. Tickets for the matchup start at just $8 and can be purchased at MyGopherSports.com.
