Team / Series Notes
• Tonight's game was the 133rd all-time meeting in men's basketball between Minnesota and Ohio State, with the Buckeyes holding an 83-50 lead in the series. The Gophers have a slight edge in games played in Minneapolis, having won 34 of 66 home games against the Buckeyes.
• This was Minnesota's first overtime game of the season. The Gophers were 1-2 in OT games last season, with the most recent overtime game being a 67-64 win versus Florida State in the NIT on April 1, 2014.
• Head coach Richard Pitino's record at Minnesota fell to 36-18, while his three-year overall record moved to 54-32.
• Coach Pitino dropped to 1-2 against OSU, and is now 9-14 versus teams from the Big Ten.
• Minnesota fell to 3-8 versus nationally-ranked opponents under Coach Pitino, including 0-3 this season.
• The Gophers, who entered the game ranked second nationally in steals per game (11.7), came up with 11 steals versus the Buckeyes.
• The Gophers have held halftime leads in all but three games this season. Minnesota trailed at halftime of their season-opener versus Louisville, and in its past two games at No. 12/11 Maryland and versus OSU.
• Tonight's crowd of 14,625 was Minnesota's first home sellout this season.
• All eight players who saw time on the court for the Gophers scored points.
• The Gophers made 7-of-19 (.368) three-pointers, and have had six or more treys made in 14 of the past 15 games.
• Minnesota made 5-of-10 three-pointers in the second half to help force overtime.
• Three Gophers starters scored in double-figures.



Individual Notes
• Senior forward Maurice Walker had a team-high 18 points on 8-of-14 field goals and also led all players with nine rebounds.
• Senior guard DeAndre Mathieu recorded 17 points, three assists and three steals.
• Senior guard Andre Hollins had 12 points and seven rebounds. It is the 73rd career double-figure scoring game for Hollins, who moved past 1,500 career points during the game and is seventh at Minnesota with 1,508.
• Junior guard Carlos Morris was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and had six points to go along with a team-best four steals, three assists and three rebounds.
• Freshman guard Nate Mason came off the bench for seven points.
• Senior center Elliott Eliason gave the Gophers a spark in the first half and finished the game with five points and four rebounds.
