TEAM / SERIES NOTES
• Today's game was the 56th all-time meeting in football between Minnesota and Nebraska, with the Gophers now holding a 31-23-2 lead in the series. The loss snapped a two-game win streak vs Nebraska for the Gophers.
• The Gophers fell to 22-13-2 in home games versus the Huskers.
• Head coach Jerry Kill's record at Minnesota dropped to 29-29, while his 22nd-year overall mark now stands at 156-102.
• Today's sellout crowd of 54,062 was the second-largest in TCF Bank Stadium's seven-year history. It marked the seventh sellout crowd during head coach Jerry Kill's tenure, and was the fourth-straight capacity turnout this season.
• Nebraska's 69-yard touchdown run on the opening drive of the game was the longest play from scrimmage allowed by the Gophers this season.
• The 48 points allowed by the Gophers were the most since a 58-0 loss at Michigan on Oct. 1, 2011.
• The Gophers recorded a successful two-point conversion in the fourth quarter. It was the Gophers' first two-point conversion since Leidner threw to Mike Henry in Minnesota's Texas Bowl loss to Syracuse on Dec. 27, 2013.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior Mitch Leidner completed his first 10 pass attempts for 96 yards before throwing his first incompletion in the second quarter. On the opening drive, Leidner was 5-of-5 for 64 yards and his seventh touchdown this season.
• For the game, Leidner completed 26-of-40 passes for 301 yards, with the completions and passing yards both establishing new career highs.
• Leidner is the first Minnesota quarterback with 25+ completions and 40 or more attempts in a game since Adam Weber had 26 completions and 49 attempts vs Penn State on Oct. 23, 2010, and it was the first 300-yard passing game for the Gophers since Weber threw for 373 yards vs Northern Illinois on Sept. 25, 2010.
• Leidner completed 16-of-17 first-half pass attempts for 156 yards and a touchdown.
• Leidner rushed for his 20th career TD, becoming just the second Minnesota QB to have 20 or more career rushing and passing TDs. Rickey Foggie (1984-87) finished his career with 25 rushing touchdowns and 33 passing TDs.
• Senior KJ Maye recorded his second career rushing touchdown on a seven-yard end-around in the second quarter. His only other rushing TD came versus Iowa on Nov. 8, 2014.
• Maye tied his career-high with six catches in the first half, and finished with a career-best totals of 11 receptions for 94 yards.
• Sophomore Eric Carter caught his first career touchdown pass on the opening drive of the game, and finished with four catches for 91 yards. The reception total tied his career high, while the yardage total smashed his previous high of 37 yards at Northwestern on Oct. 3.
• Sophomore Brandon Lingen tied his career-high with three catches for 54 yards, also a career-best.
• Senior Theiren Cockran's second quarter sack increased his career total to 14.5, moving him into seventh place on Minnesota's all-time list. Cockran moved past Mark Losli (2002-05), who had 14 career sacks.
• Sophomore Jonathan Celestin tied his career-high with a team-best eight tackles (six solo), including on TFL and a forced fumble. It was Celestin's third career forced fumble, and his first since the Iowa game on Nov. 8, 2014.
• Senior Peter Mortell boomed a career-long 66-yard punt late in the second quarter. His previous best had been a 65-yarder at Northwestern on Oct. 3, 2015. Mortell finished the game with five punts for a 51.0 yard average.
